This has been such a wonderful year and unfortunately, it is coming to a close very quickly! I encourage each of my students to keep reading throughout the summer. Parents (and students) click HERE for a great resource of 2015 summer book lists for each grade level as well as some other great websites to help continue that love of reading. Enjoy the summer - and continue to read!
Welcome to our Fabulous Fourth Grade Webpage! My name is Elaine Randall and I'm excited to be teaching frouth grade reading at Reiley Elementary this year. I have both bachelor's and master's degrees in education, and I'm currently enrolled at the University of the Cumberlands obtaining a Rank I in Curriculum and Instruction. As you can see, I am a life long learner.
I have two fabulous children and they both attend Reiley Elementary. My husband is a life long resident of Campbell County. We enjoy our family times and look forward to moments that we spend together. All of my teaching experience has been at Reiley, and I have taught both third and fourth grades and also fifth grade reading. I have a passion for reading and writing, and helping students be the best that they can be.
As a life long learner, I enjoy reading and learning more about how I can help my students be successful. This year, in addtion to my studies at the University of the Cumberlands, I am a part of a team of teachers in Campbell County learning about the LDC model (Literacy Design Collaborative). This is a model that helps teachers create literacy-rich assignments and courses across content areas. This will also serve to help our students become better problem solvers in our complex world.
I believe that when teachers and students and their parents work together, the best results can be achieved. I hope you will find that my webpage and the resources will help you know more about what we are doing in our classroom. If you would like to contact me, please do so at:
