CONGRATS Campbell County High School!! - One of US News " America's Best High Schools":
Congratulations to Campbell County High School which has been named one of America's Best High Schools in the US News annual ranking report. US News ranked CCHS as # 16 in Kentucky and # 3 in Northern Kentucky. This is a tribute to all of our schools as they all play a part in preparing our students to be successful by the time they exit high school. Please see the US News Annual Report, which may be accessed HERE.
County COVID Incidence Update
Both our local and state COVID incidence numbers stayed about the same this week. Based on yesterday's numbers, our county COVID rate increased slightly from 4.4 to 4.6 incidents per 100,000 people. The current overall state rate is 10.4/100,000, a minimal decrease from 11.3/100,000 last week.
District COVID Data - Current:
Listed below is our updated positive/quarantine list, by school. Our district COVID numbers increased from last week. Staff positives and quarantines continue to be ZERO. Student positives and quarantines nearly doubled this week. Positives have increased from 3 to 6 since last week. The number of quarantined students increased from 19 to 33..
PRESCHOOL and New Student Registrations:
Preschool returned to their regular, four-day schedule this week! We are so pleased to have all of our students back on their regular daily schedules now.
I want to continue to remind everyone about registration for next year. If you know a family with children who will be new to Campbell County next year, including Kindergarten students, please share this link with them so they can sign up and get registered. This helps our schools and all of our departments, including food service and transportation, prepare to receive and serve students for next year.
Senate Bill 128
The past few weeks, I have been sharing information regarding Senate Bill 128 and the supplemental school year provision. That information and the request form may be accessed via this link. I want to remind everyone that we only ask that you fill our the request if you WANT to REQUEST the supplemental year option for your child. You may otherwise ignore the link and request form. I also want to take a moment to share a really good article providing additional insight regarding a supplemental year that was published in the Courier Journal last week. Please see that article here.
Thank you and have a great day!
