What an honor it is to have the priviledge of working with all Campbell County elementary students, staff and community members as an Instructional Coach! I was a classroom teacher for 17 years, ranging from grades K - 4 and special education. I was in Bracken County for 7 years and then taught at Cline Elementary for the next ten years. I was a Staff Developer at Grant's Lick Elementary for two years and am now in my fifth year as a district Elementary Instructional Coach. I often tell students that I am one of the luckiest, most blessed teachers in the district!!!
I believe that all students can learn at high levels and that students need to be constantly engaged and challenged to reach their highest potential. All students need and deserve opportunities and challenges that will move them forward and allow them to be the best they can be academically and socially! Learning should be enjoyable and my hope is that all students will be ambitious, life-long learners.
I am married to Jeff Schaefer and we have two amazing children, Leah (21) and Nathan (17). My favorite things to do, outside of school, are spend time with my family and friends, scrapbook, travel, and read. I spend a lot of time at my son's basketball games and golf matches here in Campbell County.
I am looking forward to the 2017-2018 school year being the best year yet! We have made and will continue to make great strides here in Campbell County. I am so very proud to be a Camel and to let everyone know that I work for one of the strongest districts in the county, in which all stakeholders are willing to do "whatever it takes" to ensure success for our students!
