Welcome to CCATC Health Science. My name is Shannon Noakes and I'm very excited to be the new instructor. If you are interested in nursing, this is the pathway for you. You'll be introduced to courses, such as Principles of Health Science, Medical Terminology, and Emergency Procedures, that will prepare you to obtain your Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide license and start a paid co-op at a local nursing home facility. This can be done in one year as a junior or senior! Also, freshman can take a year long course, Structure and Function of the Body, to get a glimpse into the ever changing world of nursing....the possibilities are endless. If you are interested in taking a tour of the classroom and lab, or just have some questions, please contact me. firstname.lastname@example.org
I've been a nurse since 2007 and have worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Oncology Hematology Care, Inc., St. Elizabeth Home Health Care, and St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. I'm currently completing my BSN through Ohio University and plan to get my MSN, as well. I live in Independence with my fiance, Chad, my daughters, Willow and Ferris, and our dogs, Addy and Fergus. I love to travel, try out new restaurants, watch dirt car racing, and shop for antiques for our home.
