Should I take the ACT or the SAT?
ACT test dates at CCHS for 2018-19
ACT - Test information
The ACT is required by Kentucky Colleges and used for admission, scholarship, and placement purposes. It is a timed test composed of 4 sections: Math, Science, English and Reading. Scores range from 1-36.
Students should take the ACT at least twice. A good time to do this is in the spring of your Junior year and fall of your Senior year. However, you may take the test as many times as you would like.
All students will take the ACT at CCHS during their junior year, free of charge. If students are taking the ACT a second time, they are responsible for registering for the test and payment of the fee.
SAT - Test information -- 2013 - 2014 SAT Test Dates
The SAT Reasoning (I) and Subject (II) tests are accepted at most colleges/universities. Some select schools may require all or part of the test for freshman placement/course credit.
