As local scholarships become available, we will post on this page. You should also read the senior newsletter, listen to announcements, stop in the guidance office (look in rotary rack by the welcome desk or ask someone), and access the scholarship links from our webpage.

 

2017 - 2018 Scholarships

Information on the following scholarships is available in the CCHS Guidance Department:

National and Community Scholarships

 

Campbell Ridge Elementary PTO Scholarship: Due April 20th 2 $500 scholarships for students who attended Campbell Ridge for at least one year. Applications available in guidance.

 

Delta Kappa Gamma Society Grant: Due April 20th $400 grant for female student who is planning to study education. Requires two letters of recommendation. Applications available in guidance office.

 

Camel Spirit Scholarship in Memory of Mindy Burgess: Due April 26th Scholarship for student who played a varsity sport during senior year and has a 2.5 GPA. Requires two letters of recommendation and a short essay. Applications available in guidance.

 

Alexandria Masonic Lodge #152 Scholarship: Due April 27th 2 $1000 scholarships, requires short essay and list of community service involvement. Application available in guidance.

 

Notes for the Future: Due April 27th $500-$1000 scholarship for student planning to major in music at a 2 or 4 year college. Requires upload of video of you performing. Application and more information available at: http://programs.applyists.com/nftfscholarship/

 

Kevin C. Sims Scholarship: Due April 30th $2500 scholarship for student with 3.0 GPA or higher with demonstrated community involvement and volunteering. Requires short essay and two letters of recommendation. Applications available in guidance.

 

American Legion Simon Gosney Post #219 Scholarship: Due April 30th $500 scholarship, requires two short essays. Applications available in guidance. (Completed applications must be hand-delivered to Post #219).

 

CCHS Camel Athletic Boosters Scholarship: Due April 30th Must have been involved in sports at CCHS for at least 3 years, family/guardian must be a member of the Campbell Athletic Boosters. Application available in guidance.

 

Robert Krohman Memorial Scholarship: Due April 30th $2000 scholarship for student planning to study engineering, construction management, solid waste management, public administration or a similar field. Must have 2.5 GPA and requires short essay and letter of recommendation from school administrator or teacher. Applications available in guidance.

 

Southgate Optimist Club: Due May 1st 2 $1000 scholarships for students who are residents of Southgate or whose parents are members of the Southgate Optimist Club. Requires essay, letter of recommendation and resume.

Ward Memorial Scholarship: Due May 4th Scholarship for student who has taken either AP Computer Science or AP Computer Science Principles and plans to continue studying Computer Science after high school. Applications available in guidance.

 

Grant’s Lick Elementary Scholarship: Due May 9th $250 scholarship for student who attended Grant’s Lick for at least 2 years. Requires short essay. Applications available in guidance.

 

Walker Morgan Scholarship: Due May 31st $2500 scholarship for student who life has been effected by a personal injury to either themselves or a member of their family. Must have a 2.5 GPA. BBB Center for Ethics Scholarship: Due June 4th $1000-$2000 scholarship for graduating senior. Requires essay addressing a specific ethical question. Application and essay topic available at: www.centerforethics.org/soi

 

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship: Due June 15th Up to $2500 for student who is pursuing a 2 year degree at a career or technical school. Must demonstrate financial need and perseverance in overcoming adversity. Applications available at: application.horatioalger.org
