As a school family at the beginning of the year we chose to make our service learning project revolve around the children of Haiti. The Coyote Countil has created a campaign to raise money for a school to be built in Haiti. Our goal as a school is to build at least one school building for Haiti, which requires a donation of $800 ($1 per brick). This campaign will take place during the week of February 8-12. Although monetary donations are needed in order to meet the above goal, medical supplies (for example, bandages) or bottled water can also be donated to participate in the daily activities.
Monday: “Hats for Haiti” Students can donate $1 to wear a hat of their choice.
Tuesday: “Crazy Hair for Haiti” Student can donate $1 to color or style their hair in a CRAZY way!
Wednesday: “Backwards Clothing Day” Students can donate $1 to wear their clothes backwards.
Thursday: “A Buck for a Duck” Students can donate $1 to purchase a piece of duck tape to tape Mrs. Visse to the wall.
Friday: “Hoops for Haiti” Students can donate $1 to wear their favorite sports team attire. Let’s support those in need with our team spirit.
We have created two videos to promote this event. Log onto the Internet and take a look!
