Eyewitness World 1940-1960

Students are asked to research a selected person from
the 1940-1960 era. They must then wrte a resume for that person
and develop a presentation promoting their candidate as the most worthy
to receive the "Witness to the World" award.
The Power of Persuasion - Ms. Brookbank
You will perform a WebQuest to learn more information about the advantages and
disadvantages of the alternative calendar (year round education). You will need
to write a letter for or against the alternative calendar.
Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack - Ms. Bernzott
Students are asked to design a soundtrack for a new version of Romeo and Juliet.

various aspects of the Holocaust. Mrs. Florimonte, adapted this webquest which was originally designed by Julie
Poltack, to meet the needs of her class.
Heroes Among Us - adapted by Ms. Morgan
Through research, interviews, group work and presentations you will discover
information about the 1940's. Ms. Morgan adapted this webquest to meet

Star Spangled Banner - Ms. Cooper
You and your friends become detectives to discover
the history behind our National anthem.Work
together or individually to find out who really wrote "The Star Spangled Banner" and
why he was inspired to write it. Listen to a recording
of the "The Star Spangled Banner" and be a part of
the "in crowd" at the next sports event when you
can sing along with the playing of our National
Anthem.

People have been painting caves all across Europe. Find out who these people
are, how they did these paintings, and finally, did they follow proper safety
procedures (safe materials, proper safety equipment, etc.) in producing these
