Rocks, Rocks, and More Rocks - Ms. Gray
Children are asked to go on an expedition to find out information about rocks. They
collect various facts about sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. Then
they create a leson to be taught to a group of first graders.
Going Buggy - Ms. Smith and Ms. Fletcher
Become an entomologist and enjoy the pleaures of bug hunting.
Mt. Everest - Ms. Libcap
A simulated trip to Mt. Everest with selecting gear and equipment that would
be best to use. A comparison of what they used years ago and today. A
simulated map of the best route.
Water
- Ms. Hart (with assistance)
Why is clean water important to me? What can I do to protect the waters around
me? This Web Quest explores the water cycle, a pond ecosystem and the way we
misuse water. After completing a spreadsheet and database, students write a letter
home to encourage conservation practices. When all work is completed, students
are rewarded with a Jeopardy game containing information
found in the Web Quest.
Ocean
Animals - Ms. Brown
Students are to design a brochure after completing research on ocean animals.
Students work in groups to do the research with the aid of a Venn diagram. The
brochure is to persuade people that it is safe to come vacation in Florida. They
do not need to be afraid of sharks! (Lower primary students may need assistance.)
Electricity
- Ms. Englert
This webquest is an electrifying challenge, where students are required to research
both current and static electricity and its dangers. Students prepare a powerpoint
presentation, poster and conduct an experiment to demonstrate their knowledge
of electricity.
Penguins
- Ms. Nagel
Students will use the sites given to research information about various penguins.
The information that is gathered about the penguins will be used to construct
a "Penguin
Box" and an article about the penquin of choice.
Weather
Are you afraid of lightning and tornadoes? Through the use of this webquest,
students will learn about types of weather and safety tips to follow if they
should encounter these forces of nature.
Electric
Students will learn about how electricity works and what causes static electricity. Using
the resources provided, students are to answer some questions and design a poster
to teach what they have learned to others.
Solar System - Ms. Spencer
In this webquest, students will visit all nine planets and gather information
that will help them decide on which planet they will build a space station.

Raining Cats and Dogs - Ms. Isherwood
Become a Master Meteorlogist and prevent the Weather Wizard from making
it rain cats and dogs.
Calling
All Butterfly Specialists - Ms. Baker
Being the world famous butterfly specialist that you are, you have been asked
to present at the annual butterfly show in the spring. Using your research information
about butterflies, you must create a presentation for the show.
PlantQuest - Ms. Cox
Premier Plant Publications would like for you to use your expertise to design
a pamphlet or brochure about plants for their new publication, Primarily Plants.

Kentucky Survivor - Ms. Hubbard
This webquest was designed to help students study the regions of Kentucky.
Presidents - Ms. Listerman
Students help Barney and Spot (the new President's dogs) dig up information about
past Presidents of the United States. Students will use the information
they find to complete a fact sheet and create a 6 slide PowerPoint. The
last slide will include a diamante poem which will express what they have learned
about their chosen President.

Interested in becoming a community caretaker? Choose one thing in
a community to change in order to make that community a better place to live,
work, and play.
Cargo - Ms. Hart
In 1835, Mark Twain takes students on a trip down the Missouri River, with all
of its trials and tribulations. The cargo and the people on the boats are
the focus of the trip. Students have the choice of writing a transactive
piece or a diary entry based on their work.
Australia - Ms. Bain & Ms. Carr
Learn all about "The Land Down Under" and create a travel brochure
encouraging others to visit this country.
February
Celebrations - Ms. Currie
As the February classroom party planner, it is your job to choose the one holiday
in the month of February to celebrate. Learn about each of the holidays
and then make your choice and begin planning your party.
Christmas Around the World - Ms. Lynch
Students will use internet sites to learn about Christmas traditions around
the world and then plan a multi-cultural celebration.
Pioneer Times - Ms. Abbott
Learn about Pioneers, their lives and hardships they had to face...all before
dinner time.
Back in Time - Ms. Currie
As a member of the Time Travel Team, you will need to become an expert about
a particular area of pilgrim children life so you can teach your Time Travel
Team how to look and act like a pilgrim child.
Investigating Inventions - Ms.Cox
Think about the wonderful inventions of technology you are using right now. Just
to look at this WebQuest you are using the inventions of the computer, Internet,
