Community Education is a powerful concept that acknowledges learning is dynamic and changing, occurs in many forms, and is a lifelong requirement for human development. It is a way of thinking about and organizing public schools for individual and community development. Community Education provides the necessary leadership to address learning opportunities for persons of all ages and needs, expand utilization of schools and other public facilities, engage citizens in planning and problem solving activities that address school/community concerns, and acquire more effective school/community/family partnerships. Community Education is an opportunity to rediscover community.
