Current initiatives that the committee is developing
and implementing:
"Breakfast in a Bag"
Students need a nutritious breakfast in order to provide their brains and bodies
with adequate fuel for learning.
Investigating school starting times
Continue the investigation into the change of starting times for all grade levels,
especially starting high school at a later time.
A 20+ member committee has been formed to investigate the starting times.*
Brain Gym Activities
Implement “Brain Gym” activities at all grade levels, especially
middle and high schools where physical activity is limited because of not having
recess.
