More staff go above and beyond

Superintendent Anthony Strong presented four more CCS staff members with FRED awards. They are (clockwise from top left) Bus Driver and Reiley Volunteer Joe Kraus (shown with Reiley Principal Julie Hubbard, Superintendent Strong and several of his bus riders), CCHS Guidance Secretary Denise Thiery, CCMS teacher Shannon Schumacher, and CCHS Groundskeeper J.R. Rief. Each of these staff members have gone beyond their job description to make CCS a better place to work and learn. If you know a staff member or a student who demonstrates the quality of a FRED, please nominate him or her for the award.

Seminar teaches parents about reading development

Parents wanting to learn more about reading and comprehension development can attend a free seminar on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at Reiley Elementary. The seminar will be held during the Campbell County Autism Parent Support Group.
This seminar will help you to:

  • learn the 5 critical skills of successful reading development
  • gain insight into developmental stages,
  • recognize compensation skills which mask successful reading development
  • and find out what cognitive processes support strong verbal and written comprehension skills.
