It is time once again for our students and teachers to return to the classroom.
We begin the 2010-11 school year with much enthusiasm. Since 2004, Campbell County Schools has continued to push boundaries and make strategic changes that have proven to be successful. Now, we are seeking recognition for those continued academic gains and other district successes through an international accreditation process.
Accreditation is provided by AdvancED and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Council on Accreditation and School Improvement to public and private schools. To earn accreditation, a district must meet the AdvancED standards, engage in a continuous process of improvement and demonstrate quality assurance through internal and external review. Our district’s commitment to the accreditation process is further proof that CCS is focused in raising student achievement and maintaining an efficient and effective operation.
As always we are committed to doing Whatever It Takes to reach each and every student in our district. Going the extra step to help each child ensures that CCS will continue to make gains and exceed even our own ambitious goals. While testing has demonstrated that our students are advancing at a quicker pace than the state average, we are committed to doing more. We understand that learning isn’t limited to the classroom, but takes place in every aspect of a child’s life. We will continue to seek out additional methods to influence our students in and out of the classroom.
We encourage you, as parents and guardians to be involved as well. Together, we can make this our best year yet.
