A Message From Superintendent of Schools

Welcome back to another great year in Campbell County Schools.

Our administration and staff are excited to begin the 2007-08 school year and are looking forward to a rewarding educational experience for all of our students. We have spent much of the last year enhancing our curriculum and use of resources in order to improve the achievement levels of all our students. It is with much anticipation that we will watch these changes unfold during this school year.

In addition to improved curriculum in the classrooms, new staff developers and school principals will play an essential role in the enrichment of our schools. You, too, as active members of our school community can play a part in our continued success. In order for CCS to be successful in developing and implementing the best possible educational experience for students, we need your support, suggestions, encouragement and feedback. As our mission statement says, it is “in partnership with students, staff, parents and community” that we will “provide the best possible education for all students.”

With the completion of our newest school, Crossroads Elementary, I can proudly say we offer all of our students not only an exemplary education but state-of-the-art facilities as well. I personally invite all of you to come to our grand opening this fall and take a tour of the school. I’m sure you will be as pleased as I am to see the quality environment we have been able to provide our students.

Please use this calendar as a resource to provide you with information about our schools and the programs and activities planned for the 2007-08 school year. I look forward to working with all of you during the coming year.
