| Lindsey Mattingly, Evan Young and Betsy Goetz have been chosen to participate in the Autism Training Partnership with KDE and the Kentucky Autism Training Center. The goal is to implement evidence-based practices for early identification, intervention and education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Thank you, Lindsey, Betsy and Evan for your dedication to serving children with ASD in Kentucky! Campbell County is well on its way to becoming a model site. |

Campbell County is proud to announce that we have three staff members that are now trainers of Crisis Prevention Intervention. Sam Jones, Assistant Director of Special Education, Megan White special education teacher at Crossroads Elementary and Sarah Pershing, special education teacher at Campbell Ridge Elementary, completed 25 hours of intensive training and passed a skills test in order to become certified. Way to go! |
Special Olympics Skiing was a HUGE success. Head Coach, Barb Reilman, and a team of peer tutors and staff members reported that all had a great time and everyone came home a winner!

Parents of Children with Autism Support Group Meeting:
Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 23rd at 6:00 at Reiley Elementary. Free childcare is provided by the high school staff and peer tutors. It is a great opportunity to share information and gain support. |

Behavior Institute 2010 is Back!
Kentucky is proud to announce the return of the Behavior Institute sponsored by the Kentucky Council for Children with Behavior Disorders (KyCCBD), the Central Kentucky Special Education Cooperative (CKSEC), the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), and several other important partners including the Kentucky Department of Mental Health (DBHDID) – Division of Behavioral Health.
The conference will be held on July 14-15, 2010 in Lexington's Convention Center. The keynote is the unstoppable Ron Clark. With many more national speakers, master teachers and successful schools on the schedule, this year promises to inspire, encourage and motivate those of us who work with the most challenging of students.
This is a practitioner conference for teachers, administrators and others who work directly with children. Come and meet colleagues who share your common goals. Get information and registration forms at the following addresses:
