Medicaid School Based Health Services Program
Under Kentucky and federal law, school districts may qualify for Medicaid reimbursement as a funding source for special education services. If your child has a medical card with a Medicaid number or KCHIP card, it is now possible for Campbell County Schools to obtain Federal funds to help support the cost involved in providing some of these special education services. We will work with other agencies to ensure that any payments made to Campbell County will not affect the medical services, health services, or other treatment services for your child that are provided outside of school. The quality, type or amount of services provided through your child’s IEP will not change as a result of participation in this program.
To allow Campbell County Schools to receive Medicaid reimbursement from the services provided to your child, you simply need to complete the Medicaid Parent Permission Form and turn it in to your child’s teacher. If you have any questions about the Medicaid reimbursement program, contact Beth McCubbin at (859) 635-2173.
