Principal's Message

It is time for another exciting school year! Although summer always seems to be short, we are ready to go with a new year of learning at Reiley. Our focus each year is for each student to grow and reach their full potential academically and socially. Reiley's Plan for the Eclipse on Monday

Monday's eclipse will be viewed at Reiley with approved glasses, for all students unless parents have opted out of the event (just alert your teacher if you wish for your child not to participate).  We will be holding all BUS students until 4:00 to ensure their safe travel home.  All buses will leave by 4:05 after being loaded, so expect your child to arrive home at least 25 minutes later than normal.

For all students who get picked up each day, or are car riders:

All parents wishing to pick up their student will need to come INTO the building with their car tag and pick up inside the cafeteria.  We will NOT be running the car line in the back.  This way you will be supervising your child as he/she walks to the car.  Please come into the cafeteria, sign in, and have a seat to wait for your child.  Parents cannot come in the building before 3:00.  Again, please enter the front doors WITH your car tag, sign in at the table, and wait in the cafeteria.  Children will be dismissed one at a time to their parents.  You may want to bring a hat for your child to wear if you are concerned they will look at the sun.  Our afterschool program will run on a normal schedule.

Please see the Superintendent's message if you'd like to keep your child home for the day.  All requests will be granted.  We are looking forward to a safe, exciting day Monday!

Mason Appointed to Fill Vacant Board Seat

CAMPBELL COUNTY SCHOOLS- Mr. Rich Mason, of California, KY, has been appointed to fill the vacant seat to the Campbell County Board of Education for District #5.  Mr. Mason was one of two applicants who were interviewed by a designee of the Kentucky Education Commissioner Stephen Pruitt.  By statute, the commissioner of education is responsible for filling any and all vacancies to board office seats that occur between elections.  Neither the local board of education nor the district administration have any involvement in the selection of board appointees.

Mr. Mason was sworn in on August 1st and will commence with his board duties effective immediately. Mr. Mason will serve until the next general election which will occur in November of 2018, at which time someone will be elected to complete the remaining two years until the term is complete in December of 2020.

Mr. Mason has previous experience as a member of the Campbell County Board of Education, serving from January 2005 until December 2016.  He was narrowly defeated in the November 2016 election by Judge Tim Nolan, who resigned his post in April 2017.

For any questions, please contact Ms. Connie Pohlgeers or Dr. David Rust at 859-635-2173.

We'll ROCK the KPREP!!

It's time to celebrate all we've learned this year and #ROCKtheKPREP!  Thanks for Tandem Productions for the motivational video.   Thank you to the PTA who provided all students, grades 3-5 with testing t-shirts.  Many students earned medals today for their distinguished work last year.  Let's earn even more this year!
