Once again the Cincinnati Reds are rewarding academic achievement  by offering Straight-A tickets. The offer is based on Straight-A’s in the second quarter. If you qualify, you will receive a letter explaining the ticket ordering process. Letters will be distributed during CLC next week or you may pick yours up in the guidance office.

The Crayon Initiative is a project designed to bring happiness back to children in hospitals. We are collecting sad, broken, old crayons that will be melted down & turned into new crayons for children’s hospitals. Now through Friday, March 31st, bring in crayons of any size, shape or color to donate & drop them off in the boxes in the Main Office, Guidance Office or Mrs. VandeWater’s room, A129.

Prestige Portraits is scheduled to meet with all juniors on Tuesday, April 25 from 9:15 – 10:00 in the auditorium to give them information about their senior pictures.

 Also, Prestige will be here on June 19 – 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to take senior pictures in the auditorium.

The FFA will be selling carnations Thurs. Friday and Monday for you to send to your valentine! Cost is $3.00 includes one carnation with greenery and baby's breath wrapped and your choice to send a personalized note! Sold in the concession area during all lunch waves.  *Please know your sweetheart's 7th period for delivery!

Any girl in grade 9 who is interested in trying out for the high school softball team should report to the auxiliary gym at the high school on Wednesday, February 15th, from 5:30-7.
If you are in grades 10, 11, or 12 and would like to try out, you need to report from 7-8:30.
Please bring your glove, bat, running shoes, and a waterbottle, and if possible, wear a t-shirt that has your name or a number on the back.
Finally...in order to try out, you MUST have your physical form on file in the athletic office or you can bring it with you on Wednesday. You are not allowed to try out without an up-to-date physical.

Because this is a KHSAA post-season event NO passes will be accepted including CCS Staff ID’s, Season Athletic Passes, Winter Athlete Passes, and Senior Citizen Passes.  Admission will be $5 per person

Next week is CTSO Week which is Career and Technical Student Organization Week. FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, and TSA will be hosting the following for all students:  A class Penny War in the concession area during lunch next week.  There will be donation jars for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and staff/faculty.  All proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes.

FBLA would like to thank everyone that donated to Children’s Hospital yesterday during CLC.  We collected over $130.  Right now Mr. Hines’ CLC group is in the lead with $32.17, Ms. VandeWater is in second place with $18.35 and Mr. Sauerbeck collected $15.00. We will be collecting during CLC for the next two weeks. The CLC group with the largest amount donated with receive a pizza party.

The Snowball Dance will be on Saturday, December 17 at Northern Kentucky University’s Student Union Ballroom from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $25 each in the concession area during lunch on the following days:
November 21, 22, 28, 29, and 30
You must have completed permission slips in order to purchase tickets. Permission slips are in the main office and will soon be on our web page.  Please read the permission slips carefully.  See Mrs. Hamons in B201 if you have questions.

There will be a new “A” Club called STEM / Maker Club. This club will explore coding, programming, circuitry, robotics, etc. This club is limited to 36 students and the cost is $5.00 . We will meet in the 21st Century Collaboration Center / Room A109 and A110. The 1st meeting is Thursday, Nov. 3rd. See Mrs. Bernzott in the library if you have any questions.

The CCHS volleyball team defeated Bourbon County in the semi-final round of the 10th Region Tournament.  CCHS will play Scott in the regional finals tomorrow night, Thursday, October 27 at 6:30pm at Bracken County.

The boys soccer game tonight in the 10th Region Tournament has been postponed. The game will be played tomorrow night at 6:00pm vs Pendleton County at Montgomery County.

In celebration of Mole Day, which is next Sunday, October 23, the Chemistry Club is having two contests this week.
Each day this week, a small picture of a mole will be hidden around the building. If you find the mole picture, take it to Mrs. Weber in room A235 for a prize.
There will also be a mole decorating contest.  Pick up the pattern and the rules from Mrs. Weber in room A235.  The entries will be due on Thursday of this week.

There will be a football fan bus traveling to Lexington, KY on October 28th to watch the football team play at Henry Clay.

Permission slips can be found hanging outside of Mr. Scheid's door. The cost is $8.00 and this price includes your bus ride AND admission to the game.

CCHS Project Grad annual car show with be held at Mike Castrucci Ford in Alexandria.  All proceeds go to Project Grad event the night of graduation.  In order for this to be successful event we need volunteers Sat. Sept. 17 to help clean up for event (9-12) and Sunday, Sept. 18 during the car show (8-3:30).  We will have arranged times so no one has to stay all day.  Please come support your senior class and volunteer.  Sign-up sheets on room door A108 (Youth Services Center).

The CCHS Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, Sept 10 from 7-11PM.

If you are bringing a guest from outside CCHS, the Guest Permission Slip must be completed and signed by an administrator to purchase a guest ticket.

Athletic Passes:

The Campbell County High Athletic Department offers a season pass that is good for admittance to all home athletic events with the exception of any post season contest and the CCHS/Brossart basketball games.  The price of a season pass for this year is Adults $50 and Students $30.

Passes will be sold at the following times and events.  Students may purchase passes for adults during these times as well.  Cash, check, or credit cards are welcome.  Checks should be made out to CCHS ATHLETICS.

Thursday and Friday– During lunch time in main gym concession stand. 

At open house on Thursday - from 6pm-7pm during the CCHS Open House in the main gym concession stand.
